THE POUR HOUSE

Welcome to The Pour House, located in the heart of Ringwood!  We are thrilled to be able to welcome you to our club, held at The Pour House, where women from all walks of life come together to connect, inspire, and have a great time. Whether you prefer an evening club or a lunch club, we have you covered with our monthly meetings.

Formerly known as Ringwood Social Club, the club closed in 2011, but after an extensive refurbishment it opened its doors in July 2023, and this beautiful 300 year old building now offers us a warm, inviting, safe place to meet. It is the ideal space where women can relax, unwind, and enjoy each other's company. With ample parking available at the back (accessed via Strides Lane) and on the streets, you can easily join us without any hassle.

Through the coming year we have a range of exciting events and inspiring speakers lined up for you. From engaging workshops to thought-provoking talks, we strive to offer a diverse range of activities that cater to all interests. There will also be special events where clubs from across the UK will come together, so watch this space.

Pre-booking is essential. We understand that everyone has different dietary requirements, and we are more than happy to accommodate them. Please indicate any special requirements/allergies at the payment screen and we will ensure that your needs are met.

The Art of Flower Pressing

Do you love that special bouquet so much you simply can’t throw it away, or perhaps you’ve grown some beautiful flowers in your garden you would love to preserve them? Clair will be joining us to show us how those flowers can be turned into beautiful floral art.

Clair has been florist and ran her own wedding flower business for over 20 years, so it's fair to say about she knows a thing or two about flowers. However, preserving them is a whole new ball game... She taught herself how to press and preserve wild flowers during lock down and 4 years on has given up wedding flowers in full pursuit of preserving flowers, and turning them into floral art... During the demonstration she will share a few of her tips on how a press and preserve some tricky flowers such as roses, and how to get the best results out of things you mind in the garden...

I am very pleased to be welcoming Trevor from Hampshire Search and Rescue (HANTSAR), who is giving up his valuable time to come along and give us an insight into the incredible work that HANTSAR does.

HANTSAR is a voluntary organisation which works alongside the police in searches for vulnerable missing persons in Hampshire. Searches may be carried out in urban areas, including door to door enquiries, searches of car parks or recreation grounds etc., in the countryside, on open land or in wooded areas. They may be asked to search beaches or riverbanks in conjunction with the Coastguard or Environment Agency and are available any time of day, every day of the year, whatever the weather.

HANTSAR is a registered charity raising its own funds to provide search and rescue services throughout Hampshire, receives no external funding and relies totally on donations.  We won’t have a free raffle on this evening ladies as it would be great to raise a few funds for them, so please bring along some cash this time.
