Hello and Welcome to your Live Laugh Love Ladies Club at The Coach & Horses in Wimborne.

My name is Anita Piddock, I am originally from Fulham in London and lived in Putney and Wimbledon and just kept on going out on the district line…

I still have family in London and still love London, but feel Dorset is my home now.

I have tried lots of jobs and juggled, as we do, when the children came along but I wouldn’t change it, as I believe “veriety is the spice of life” I have worked in lots of places and with amazing people.

I spent 5 years travelling before I got married for the first time, spending time in America and Spain to name a few. Working on the Cruise ships ,or as an Intersun Rep, (yes that long ago) and was even a Butlins Red Coat for a Season.

In London I ran my own business called Chelsea Baby Hire- no I didn’t rent out babies just all the equipment that goes with them, cots, car seats and so on. Mainly in Kensington, Chelsea and Knightsbridge, so I got to go to really swanky places., it was, and still is a successful business, now owned by my ex-husband, luckily we have been able to remain good friends.

I have also owned a Bar in Earlsfield called Bar 366 – this was long before using numbers as a name was a trendy thing to do, clearly ahead of our time…

As I kept on going on my life journey  I found my heart here in DORSET, we are blessed with beautiful beaches and open spaces, I made it my home. I have been here for 18 years but still feel like the newbie with so much still to explore.

My daughter who was 6 at the time said “wow, we are going to live on holiday”. Her Life is Horses, so luckily for her we have been able to give her the life she dreamed off, as it’s not so easy to have horses in London. She gained her degree in Equine Sports Science at Hartpury University and works/ runs a Competition yard here in Dorset.Recently she has been working for Ben Mayer who gain us a GOLD in the individual show jumping in Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

I now run a Bed & Breakfast called The Log Cabin here in Wimborne, a self-contained Log cabin set next to my home along a quite country lane, which I love as I get to meet so many interesting people.

My son is scooter and sports mad and now is at Rockley College, he keeps me busy – he is my sunshine boy. Both of my children have a great attitude to life as their glass is always half full.

Life changed for us 4 years ago when we lost our lovely man. My heart was taken by my lovely husband Stuart, I had no idea of how loved I could be; I am forever grateful to him for being in my life and bringing me to Dorset. With help and lots of love from amazing friends and family, my beautiful children and our chocolate Labrador Dylan ( and new addition Fifi the Frenchie we can try to slowly rebuild ourselves.

Groups and clubs of women like Live Laugh Love Ladies Club are valued for all of us, whatever stages of our life or whatever we are going through. Everyone has a story to tell.
