We welcome to our Live Laugh Love Ladies Club’s May event Lorna Robinson, who is the owner of “Helping Hands” which is a small companion/care business based in Dorchester.  The business has been running for over 9 years and has expanded to have 6 wonderful ladies who all work as a team for their clients whom benefit from continuity, reliability and peace of mind – knowing there is always someone available to support them in their own homes or care homes to allow them to remain as independent as possible in their daily lives.   

Lorna will share about how Helping Hands, provides 1–1 bespoke companion care, delivered by a highly experienced and dedicated team.  Their service is built around the individual – no two clients are the same, which is why every support package is personally tailored to suit each person’s needs, preferences, and lifestyle. They also offer client get-togethers and group events, giving their clients the opportunity to socialize, build friendships, and enjoy meaningful experiences together in a warm, supportive environment. Helping Hands is about more than practical help – it is about companionship, dignity, trust, and quality of life. 

Lorna will also talk about the exciting times ahead with their new business model being launched soon.

Feng Shui is an ancient Chinese practice centred around energy flow and how our surroundings affect our wellbeing. In this talk, Gayle will introduce the foundations of Feng Shui in a simple, modern way and explore how minor changes within the home can create a more supportive and nourishing environment. This session is about awareness rather than rules — helping you see your home with fresh eyes.

Kate Robson from Casterbridge Chiropractic 

We welcome to our July event, Kate Robson, a passionate and dedicated Chiropractor at Casterbridge Chiropractic, who has been helping patients move and feel better since 2017. Kate’s journey into chiropractic began at just 16 years old, following a lower back injury she sustained while competing as a national heptathlete. After experiencing the benefits of chiropractic care firsthand, she knew immediately that this was the career path for her. She went on to graduate from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic with both a BSc in Human Sciences and a Master’s Degree in Chiropractic, and is now registered with the General Chiropractic Council and a proud member of the British Chiropractic Association. 

Kate enjoys working with a diverse range of patients, from dressage riders and triathletes to gardeners, personal trainers, and farmers. Her approach is functional and tailored, focusing not only on symptoms but also on movement patterns and lifestyle factors. She is known for empowering her patients with practical “homework” such as stretches and exercises to support their progress outside the clinic. Kate feels incredibly privileged to support people in achieving their goals— whether that is returning to sport or simply feeling more comfortable in their own body—and is passionate about the positive impact chiropractic care can have on everyday life. 

Kate also has a keen interest in women’s health and longevity and is passionate about supporting women at all stages of life to stay active, resilient, and thriving. Outside of the clinic, she has a keen interest in fitness, loves trail running and enjoys spending time with her family, including cockerpoo Rosie.
