Our guest for April Karen Thrush will be answering teaching us about Kinesiology & explaining how Muscle Testing works.
so WHAT IS KINESIOLOGY?? The therapy uses what is called muscle testing to access the muscular feedback from the body. You’ve probably experienced it at some point from a physician, chiropractor or holistic therapist. Ever had a test where the doctor asks you to stick out your arm and resist pressure? You try to keep your arm in the same place while he pushes down on it. Suddenly, and with the strangest sensation, your arm loses strength despite your efforts and falls to your side?? Ta Da! That is Kinesiology! And Karen will be explaining how it all works at our April event and giving a demonstration!
Who would love a good send-off when they die? I know I would... I met the lovely Sue at a club we are both members of and when she introduced herself as a funeral celebrant, I had no idea what that was, I often have to google words and this was one of them...
Definition Celebrant - A person who celebrates something 2+2=4 You give someone a great send off!! What an awesome job!
It turns out I have been to a funeral hosted by a celebrant, it was the first funeral I walked out of and said 'That was the best funeral ever!!' Not sure that was at all PC, but it was, my partner's uncles life story was told in a fun, emotional at points but celebrated way, there was no mention of God, he wasn't religious, and friends shared their funny stories of him! It was most definitely a celebration of his life and I will always remember that funeral in a good way...
Sue will be sharing what she does, why she does it and also uncovering the myths around the grieving process - she's also a grief recovery specialist!
Can't wait for this one!
