The Springhead Pub and Restaurant is located at the heart of the small Dorset village of Sutton Poyntz. Quietly tucked away beneath the chalk downs, the village has a unique beauty which awaits discovery, a mile from the World Heritage Jurassic Coast.
Our meetings will take place in The Blue Duck Barn which can be found at the rear of the Springhead in the upper car park, next to the garden.

Duncun - Duncans Unctions
In September 2014 Ducan was diagnosed with HPV cancer at the base of his tongue. He then had some heavy duty chemo and radiotherapy. Radiotherapy can burn the skin, especially if you have 36 doses. He was advised to use aqueous cream to treat his skin – "it’s crap". His wife suggested that he make his own, so he did.
After some research and trials on himself he ended up with an all-natural cream that seemed to work, the medics were certainly impressed and his skin healed quickly. After giving the cream to family and friends for different skin conditions he started getting some positive feedback so thought maybe this could benefit more people if he creates a little business.
He called the cream Duncan’s Unction and over the past few years have had numerous reports from many people about how the unction has helped them. Duncan has been to many markets, fairs and events promoting and selling the Unction. It is sold in a number of outlets in the South West.
Duncan will be sharing his story with you.
