Meet SARAH BURT ND Naturopath • Herbalist • Homoeopath • Nutritionalist • Iridologist
THE EYES ARE THE WINDOWS TO THE SOUL.
We have all heard this before but have we ever stopped to give it much thought! The study of people’s Irises has been around for nearly 150 years and had turned into a diagnostic tool for many doctors and Naturopathic physicians of today.
It follows the premise that all of our organs and systems are represented in the coloured parts of our eyes which are all unique and individual. No two eyes are alike, although there will be similar genetic markings in them. A person trained to read irises is called an Iridologist, and is someone who can read each dot, freckle, marking and colour variation in a persons eye to help them understand where their personal weakness and strength areas lie. It also can tell much about a personality type of each person and often at what age any traumas may have occurred that lead to physical symptoms later in life.
As a Naturopath trained twenty years ago in Australia I use Iridology all the time in my practice to help me a certain for my patients where the ROOT cause of their presenting illness or symptoms are coming from. It then allows me to correct the imbalance where it should be corrected rather than just treating someone’s symptoms while the body continue to get unwell underneath these palliative treatment conditions.
There is so much we can learn through our beautiful individual structures of our eyes, so much information we can glean to keep us healthy for the rest of our lives...

"Many people have told me that they would love to know more about fostering but are worried that they are not the right person to do it. I would have include myself in that too.
I had a successful 30yr career in business and I am a trained coach/mentor and counsellor, but still I had concerns that somehow, fostering would require something that neither myself or my husband were able to give.
Following my retirement from the Local Authority, we started the assessment in November 2017 and went to panel the following March. Since then we have had an amazing 18months fostering, met lots of fascinating people and learned new skills.
There are obvious highs and lows when you enter the world of fostering but the rewards are endless."

11 years ago I left an abusive marriage with a few bin bags, no career and two children.
I'm not perfect, in fact far from it, I was born with an auto immune condition, I love cake and I am partial to a glass of fizz, but you know what, I am doing my best.
“From Corporate Life to Campervan Living:
A journey of exploration of your truth, an awakening and realization of who you really are”
After 12 years stuck in the corporate bubble, Lisa was feeling lost, unfulfilled and lacking purpose in life. Living for the weekend and using alcohol and partying as a means to escape the monotony of corporate life, she knew something had to change.
She made a life changing decision to escape and take a career break in Borneo, South East Asia and Africa to decide what was next. She had some amazing adventures; climbed a mountain, trekked for 3 weeks, lived on a beach and met amazing people.
But most of all, she realized she had become totally disconnected with who she really was and what she wanted out of life. She had become trapped on the conveyor belt of life, of other people’s expectations and it was time for that to stop and for her to design her life on her terms.
Lisa now has a portfolio career working freelance on her own terms. She set up ‘Escape Your Bubble’ as a community to help other people who feel trapped and want to lead a different life but have no idea where to start, to create the life they love and be true to who they really are.
Join Lisa as she tells you tales from her journey of how she ‘escaped the corporate bubble’ and now lives a freedom based adventurous lifestyle: part time by the sea, part time campervan living and part time adventurer. She will also share her tips on how to ‘escape your bubble’ and create your best, most authentic life!
Join us for Jodi's inspiring story - 'humour, gold shoes, fur, sequins and leopard print!'
On 15 January 2018,aged 40, I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer.
Those that knew me well knew that I would have no intention other than to fight this all the way with my usual humour, gold shoes, fur, sequins and leopard print!
I had a mastectomy of my right breast followed by 6 rounds of chemotherapy.
I diarised my journey to get me through my treatment but soon realised that other people were contacting me with stories of support and touching stories of how I’d inspired them with my honest approach to chemotherapy and my surgery.
I’m passionate about women coming out of their comfort zones, embracing life, embracing their bodies in their own unique ways. My scars are a sign that I am a strong woman that can overcome anything. I am proud of the woman I am today and what I am teaching my son about facing adversity!
The way I approached my treatment and my diagnosis may not be everyone’s cup of tea and they may not have the inner confidence to bare all but if I can use my experience to help raise awareness of breast cancer or simply inspire just one person and give them confidence then that’s amazing!
